"Let the Ancestors Rest" show, The show will be at People’s Park in
Berkeley to raise awareness (and lawyer funds) for the struggle to get back
the Native American remains from U.C. Berkeley and to stop "development"
at Glen Cove. Glen Cove is a Sacred Sight and burial ground outside of
Vallejo, CA that the government is proposing to rip up and turn into a 3 mile
recreational park. We are asking that they let the ancestors rest in both
aspects: let the remains at U.C. Berkeley be returned to their tribes for a
proper burial and leave the burial grounds at Glen Cove alone. We have an
INCREDIBLE line up of artists and this is sure to have a good turnout.
Also as speakers we have Henry Dominguez, Wounded Knee, Possibly
Mark Labou, and were working on a few others to speak throughout the show.
I will get you more info as it comes through on that as well.
